Top County professional Andy Sullivan couldn’t maintain his early form in the Qatar Masters as he finished in a tie for 21st place at Education City GC.
Chasing his first European Tour success since 2015, Sullivan was in sublime touch in the first two rounds as he sank six birdies in an opening five-under-par 66, before matching that feat the following day.
Sitting joint-top at the half way stage alongside Spain’s Jorge Campillo, the Nuneaton golfer remained in contention until a double bogey on the final hole in a third round 72 dropped him down the leaderboard, before he shot 73 on the last day.
Campillo went on to claim victory in a play-off.
